Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait

An avant-garde film about the French football player Zinedine Zidane filmed in April 2005 during the game between Real Madrid and Villarreal with seventeen cameras. Close monitoring of the legendary midfielder calls into question the possibility of a single point of view on any historical situation. The soundtrack to the film was written by the Scottish rock band Mogwai.

Directed by Douglas Gordon, Philippe Parreno
